The Nervous System
The nervous system controls and regulates all voluntary and involuntary activities of the body. It consists of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. The nerves are divided into two major branches, the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. The central nervous system manages sensory input and directs voluntary muscle movement. The autonomic nervous system controls all the automatic processes of the body such as regulating breathing, heartbeat, and digestion. Because the nervous system is so incredibly complex, we have broken it down into many components, including sections for each of the senses and all of the major neurotransmitters.
Brain
The human brain is the center of the human nervous system. Enclosed in the cranium, the brain makes up about two percent of the body's weight (about 3 pounds) and contains approximately ten billion nerve cells. The brain is protected by the skull and a cushion of fluid surrounding it, while a constant supply of oxygen-rich blood comes directly from the heart to keep the fragile cells of the brain alive. Collectively, the brain not only controls the body's organs and muscles but also manages an individual's emotions, memories, thoughts, reasoning, imagination, creativity, knowledge, and everything that makes us who we are.
The brain stem controls breathing, heart rate, and other autonomic processes that are independent of conscious brain functions. The neocortex is the center of higher-order thinking, learning, and memory. The cerebellum is responsible for the body's balance, posture, and the coordination of movement. The frontal lobes are associated with executive functions such as self-control, planning, reasoning, and abstract thought. The occipital lobe is that portion of the brain that is devoted to vision.
Hypothalamus
The Hypothalamus is a portion of the brain that contains a number of small nuclei with a variety of functions. One of the most important functions of the hypothalamus is to link the nervous system to the endocrine system via the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus is located below the thalamus, just above the brain stem. In humans, the hypothalamus is roughly the size of an almond.
The hypothalamus is responsible for certain metabolic processes and other activities of the autonomic nervous system. It synthesizes and secretes certain neurohormones that either stimulate or inhibit the secretion of pituitary hormones. The hypothalamus controls body temperature, hunger, thirst, fatigue, sleep, and circadian cycles.
Nerves
The nerves are involved in muscle movement and sensory input. They also regulate pain. The peripheral nerves integrate information they receive and transmit it to the brain.
Parasympathetic Nervous System
The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for regulating internal organs and glands, which occurs unconsciously. The parasympathetic system specifically is responsible for stimulating "rest-and-digest" activities that occur when the body is at rest, including sexual arousal, salivation, tear production, urination, digestion, and defecation. Its action is described as being complementary to the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for stimulating activities associated with the fight-or-flight response.
Sympathetic Nervous System
The sympathetic nervous system is one of the three parts of the autonomic nervous system, along with the enteric and parasympathetic systems. Its general action is to mobilize the body's resources under stress, by inducing the fight-or-flight response. It is, however, constantly active at a basal level to maintain homeostasis. Alongside the other two components of the autonomic nervous system, the sympathetic nervous system aids in the control of most of the body's internal organs.
The Nerve Program is used for symptoms like:
A feeling of numbness, pain, tingling, or burning in your limbs or extremities
A headache that is persistent, comes on suddenly, or is "different"
Abnormal movement, such as tremors or difficulty walking
Anxious, nervous or afraid
Back pain that extends to the toes or other parts of the body
Cognitive difficulties involving memory and concentration
Depressed
Difficulty swallowing or feeling "a lump in the throat"
Hearing problems or deafness
Irritable, angry, impatient or wound up
Loss of balance
Memory loss
Over-burdened or overwhelmed
Problems with coordination
Seizures, tremors, or uncontrolled twitching
Slurred speech or other new language impairments (speaking or comprehending)
Unexplained weakness, loss of muscle strength, or paralysis
Vision problems, such as double vision or blindness
Weakness or paralysis
Worried or tense
FOR BEST RESULTS
Take capsules with enough water.
Tinctures (1 Dropper is 20 drops) - Mixed into 1 to 2 oz of juice or water.
Continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day to assist with any detox like symptoms.
Detox symptoms are not uncommon to experience. This could be headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, sweating, chills, nausea, etc.
Warning: Please consult with your healthcare practitioner if you are nursing or pregnant. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store in a cool, dry place.
